University Athletics Track, Oxford
It may not look very impressive from up here, but 51 years ago today, the Oxford University Athletics Track is where Roger Bannister, a 25-year-old British medical student, became the first man to run a mile in less than four minutes.
His time was 3mins 59.4 seconds, and the historic event was watched by about 3,000 spectators.
